Airfrost, February edition.

New month, new logo, new background. This one is just the result of some fooling around in Photoshop.

Hello! We all look forward to hearing from you!

required, but never displayed or shared! (optional, of course) http://
  • I like what you’ve done with the header graphic and the update to the logo is subtle but very nice. I like the idea of re-designing by subtly re-aligning.

  • very nice!!! though in a slow conection, it take a while to load. I just found the site recently and love the designs you have for the site……and your philosophy of innovation trhoug iteration!

  • “Redesigning by realigning” and “innovation through iteration”? Brilliant! I could never have thought of that. :D

  • @jonathan I’ve never really thought about the amount of time it would take for the site to load on a slow connection, though you’re right — with all the images I have, I’d imagine it would take quite a while. :(

  • Still loving the site River, never gets old on me! still looking forward to the next splash screen (only joking!) Its phenomenally polished and still looks perfectly new and modern. I aspire to you!

On the subject of the header, I have a photo I think you might quite like to use next month, otherwise I really like this month’s, and I like the idea!

  • A photoshop question: How did you do the white wavy lines in the background ? thx in advance

    Rajaram Sethuraman 2008.02.08

  • @Rajaram: I used the pen tool, and Outer Glows w/ Color Dodge. If making this is something that interests you, I can write a tutorial about it. :)

  • Photoshop tutorials are welcomed with open hands, anyone can tell you have skill :)

    Alex 2008.02.11

  • @Alex That’s settled then — I’ll either write a tutorial on it, or just remake that and post the psd (1: the original was lost along w/ everything else when my hdd crashed; 2: I’m lazy) as soon as I have some free time. :)

  • Must be some very nice ‘fooling around’. It’s really great.

  • I like v2, although it isn’t quite as green and blue as your coming soon pages have lead me to believe it would be :P

    Damn, you’re good.
